Pakistan, Sept. 4 -- Test cricketer Imam-ul-Haq is set to take legal action against former Pakistan chief selector Mohammad Wasim, sources said.

According to sources, Imam-ul-Haq has started consultations with his legal team over sending a defamation notice to Mohammad Wasim after the conclusion of the Test series against England.

Sources said Imam has contacted his legal team and is considering legal proceedings over remarks made by the former chief selector during a television programme.

Mohammad Wasim, the former Pakistan chief selector, had claimed during a television programme that Imam-ul-Haq had used an injury as an excuse in the past.
