Pakistan, July 25 -- Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for a missile strike on Saudi Arabia on Saturday, hours after vowing retaliation for Saudi military attacks. The escalation marks a widening of the ongoing conflict across the Middle East.

According to Houthi media, a missile strike caused fires in the southern Saudi city of Jizan. However, Saudi authorities did not immediately confirm the claim or report any damage from the alleged attack.

The latest exchange followed Saudi airstrikes on Houthi military targets in Hodeida on Friday. A Yemeni security source said the strikes targeted a naval base, a telecommunications building, and a military camp on Kamaran Island.
