Pakistan, June 27 -- Hezbollah has rejected a US-brokered security agreement between Israel and Lebanon, calling it a surrender and accusing Lebanese authorities of undermining national sovereignty. The reaction came a day after the framework deal was signed amid ongoing cross-border tensions. The group also reaffirmed its commitment to armed resistance against Israel.
Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem strongly criticised the agreement, saying it amounted to unilateral concessions that favoured Israel. He argued that linking Israeli withdrawal to Hezbollah's disarmament crossed "red lines" and effectively legitimised continued Israeli military presence in southern Lebanon.
