Pakistan, May 30 -- Heavy rain swept across several parts of Lahore on Saturday, providing much-needed relief from the intense heat that had gripped the city in recent days. The downpour affected multiple neighbourhoods, with the highest rainfall recorded in Nishtar Town.

According to data released by the Water and Sanitation (WASA), Nishtar Town received 48.5 millimetres of rain, followed by the airport area with 40mm and Johar Town with 37.5mm. Significant rainfall was also recorded in Lakshmi Chowk, Mughalpura, Upper Mall, Tajpura, Gulberg, Iqbal Town, Samanabad, and several other localities across the provincial capital.
