Pakistan, April 22 -- According to the latest assessment by the International Labour Organisation, around 3.3 million

jobs were disrupted in fourteen flood-hit districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with rural areas bearing nearly 78 percent of all losses and agriculture taking the hardest blow.

The 2025 deluge, triggered by extraordinary monsoon rains and poor water management, ravaged livelihoods across Pakistan. More than 6.9 million people were affected, with 4.7 million in Punjab alone and nearly 2.9 million forced to flee their homes, while over 4,700 villages were inundated.
