Pakistan, Aug. 29 -- The federal government has rejected reports claiming it scrapped the power generation component of the Diamer-Bhasha Dam. The Power Division described the report as "fake news." It said the project remains part of Pakistan's long-term power generation plans. The generation component also remains included in existing and future IGCEP documents. Therefore, the government said there has been no decision to remove it.
