Pakistan, June 19 -- Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Thursday reaffirmed the government's support for electric vehicle manufacturing, localization and sustainable transportation to promote Pakistan as a regional hub for new energy vehicles.

He stated this while talking to a delegation of BYD Group and Mega Motor Company (MMC) led by BYD Group Vice President Liu Xueliang and MMC CEO Aly Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, the finance minister appreciated BYD's expanding presence in Pakistan and said the BYD-MMC joint venture would support industrial development, technology transfer, employment generation and export growth in the country.
