Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said drainage projects had significantly improved the situation during the current monsoon, with rainwater that previously remained stagnant for days, weeks and even months now being drained within hours.

She said the Punjab Development Programme had for the first time, introduced a culture of uniform development across the province, ensuring that people in all regions benefited from development initiatives.

The CM expressed these views during a meeting with Punjab Assembly members from Vehari, Muhammad Yousaf Kaseela, Malik Nosheer Anjum Langrial, Mian Muhammad Saqib Khurshid and Muhammad Naeem Akhtar Khan Bhabbha, here on Sunday. Political affairs, development projects...
