Pakistan, July 18 -- The Petroleum Division has issued a notification confirming that the petroleum levy on petrol, diesel and kerosene oil will remain unchanged, even as the government has increased fuel prices under its latest pricing review.

According to the notification, the petroleum levy on petrol has been maintained at Rs80 per litre, while the levy on high-speed diesel (HSD) remains Rs70.82 per litre. The levy on kerosene oil has also been kept unchanged at Rs20.36 per litre.

The announcement comes after the government increased the prices of petroleum products for a three-day period as part of its revised fuel pricing mechanism.
