Pakistan, June 27 -- Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said the government will review international oil price indicators this week before deciding petrol and diesel prices. The assessment will determine whether further relief can be passed on to consumers. The review comes as global fuel markets continue to fluctuate.
Malik said the government is not giving preference to any particular sector. He added that no sector is being placed under an unnecessary financial burden. According to the minister, the government remains committed to transferring maximum possible relief to consumers while fulfilling its international obligations.
