Pakistan, Aug. 1 -- Google has rolled back a newly launched artificial intelligence (AI) feature in Google Earth after researchers and open-source intelligence experts warned it could fuel misinformation by generating realistic but fabricated satellite image.

The "Create Image" tool, introduced on Thursday, used Google's Nano Banana 2 AI model to allow users to generate visualisations based on Google Earth's satellite, aerial and 3D mapping data.
