Pakistan, Sept. 4 -- Gold prices increased sharply in the local market on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs 11,200 to Rs 465,236 per tola, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 9,602 to Rs 398,864, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs 8,802 to Rs 365,638. In the international market, the price of gold increased by $112 to $4,427 per ounce, the association reported. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 185 to Rs 7,044, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs 159 to Rs 6,039.
