Pakistan, Aug. 22 -- Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Saturday, with the price per tola increasing by Rs5,700. The gain followed a rise in international gold prices.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, gold reached Rs482,936 per tola. The latest increase followed a Rs5,200 gain recorded on Friday.

The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs4,972. It reached Rs414,039 following the latest movement in the local market.

Meanwhile, international gold prices rose by $57 to reach $4,604 per ounce. The international rate included a premium of $20, according to the reported market rates.
