Pakistan, Oct. 5 -- Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Monday, following an increase in international gold rates. The local gold price gained Rs1,200 per tola during the day. The latest increase pushed the price to Rs437,536 per tola.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold also became more expensive. Its price reached Rs375,116 after rising by Rs1,029. The local market followed the upward movement in global gold prices.

The international gold rate increased by $12 during the day. It reached $4,150 per ounce in the global market. The international increase coincided with the rise in Pakistan's domestic gold prices.
