Pakistan, Aug. 18 -- The price of gold in the country witnessed an upward trend on Monday, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs2,000 per tola to Rs461,936, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The price of 24-karat gold of 10 grams increased by Rs1,715 to Rs396,035, while the price of 22-karat gold of 10 grams rose by Rs1,572 to Rs363,045. In the international market, gold was quoted at $4,395 per ounce, showing an increase of $20. Meanwhile, the price of silver also witnessed an increase, with 24-karat silver rising by Rs80 per tola to Rs7,029.
