Pakistan, July 31 -- Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Friday, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs3,000 to reach Rs430,436. The gains followed an upward trend in international bullion prices, affecting local precious metals markets.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,572 to Rs369,029. Meanwhile, the local market mirrored the rise in global gold prices.

On Thursday, gold had gained Rs1,000 per tola, closing at Rs427,436. Therefore, Friday's increase extended the metal's upward momentum in Pakistan's domestic market.
