Pakistan, Aug. 18 -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has vowed that deaths during the US-Israeli war will not go unavenged. He said Iran would defend the rights of its people and respond to the attacks.

According to Iran's state broadcaster Press TV, Ghalibaf said Tehran would use all available capabilities. He said Iran would take steps to protect the rights of Iranians affected by the conflict.

Ghalibaf said Iran would work to end what he described as foreign aggression against the country. He also pledged that those responsible for the attacks would be punished. His remarks reflected Tehran's continued opposition to the military campaign.
