Pakistan, July 30 -- Germany has recorded an estimated 9,800 heat-related deaths so far this year, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Health officials warned that further heatwaves could increase the death toll. Several regions are expected to experience temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
According to the RKI's weekly report, most heat-related deaths occurred among people aged 75 and older. The institute said older adults remain the most vulnerable during periods of extreme heat. Authorities urged greater protection for high-risk groups.
