Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- Germany has arrested former foreign intelligence chief August Hanning over allegations involving classified information. Prosecutors suspect Hanning paid for access to secret documents. They also accuse him of using the information to prepare analysis for a foreign intelligence .

According to federal prosecutors, Hanning left Germany's Federal Intelligence Service in 2005. Five years later, he allegedly made an agreement with a former office administrator. Under that arrangement, Hanning reportedly paid money to obtain classified intelligence material.
