Pakistan, Aug. 1 -- A life-sized replica of Syrax, the dragon from HBO's House of the Dragon, flew above Glasgow to mark the start of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The unusual display attracted residents and visitors across the Scottish city.

The eight-metre animatronic dragon passed over landmarks including the SEC Armadillo, OVO Hydro, and the River Clyde. The event was organised through a promotional partnership between HBO and TNT Sports, which is broadcasting the Games in the UK and Ireland.
