Pakistan, Sept. 24 -- For years, the Pakistan-US relationship has followed a familiar pattern. Washington turned to Islamabad when regional security demanded cooperation, while Pakistan looked towards Washington for diplomatic support, economic opportunities or strategic understanding. Once the immediate crisis passed, however, the relationship often lost momentum. Today, there are signs that this pattern may be changing. The reason is partly the changing nature of American strategic priorities. Washington is increasingly concerned with resilient supply chains, technology, energy security, investment and access to critical minerals.
