Pakistan, Jan. 7 -- Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a severe cold wave alert for northern regions and northern Balochistan. The advisory warns of intensified cold conditions, dense fog, and associated health and travel risks. Citizens are urged to take precautions as temperatures are expected to drop sharply.
Severe cold is forecast to continue in Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Pothohar region. Northern parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Ziarat, and Kalat, are also expected to experience extreme temperatures in the coming days. Authorities have advised residents to prepare for freezing conditions.
