Pakistan, June 16 -- Four independent candidates elected to the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly have joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP). The move strengthens the party's position in the newly elected assembly and could influence future political alignments. The lawmakers announced their decision during a meeting with Federal Minister Aleem Khan. The new entrants include Muhammad Dilpazeer from GBA-15 Diamer, Aman Ali from GBA-21 Ghizer-3, Anwar Ali from GBA-23 Ghanche, and Asad Shafiq from GBA-24 Ghanche-3. Their inclusion provides an early boost to IPP's representation in the regional legislature.
