Pakistan, Jan. 28 -- Karachi residents face rising financial pressure as the Sindh government increased flour prices ahead of Ramazan, setting the official retail rate at Rs107 per kilogram, adding to ongoing inflation challenges.

The price hike was announced by the Commissioner Karachi, making the new rates effective immediately, with a 10-kg flour bag now priced at Rs1,070, reflecting an Rs8 per kilogram increase.

Meanwhile, the ex-mill price of flour has been fixed at Rs104 per kilogram, or Rs1,040 for a 10-kg bag, marking an overall increase of Rs80 per standard flour bag across the city.
