Pakistan, Aug. 3 -- At least 14 people have died after heavy rains and floods struck southern India. Thousands were displaced across Kerala, while a landslide killed three people in neighbouring Karnataka.

Kerala recorded 11 rain-related deaths by Sunday, according to state authorities. Meanwhile, nearly 7,700 residents were evacuated to about 275 relief camps as floodwaters inundated several areas.

Kerala Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan said he would review relief arrangements with district officials on Monday. Additionally, authorities began clean-up operations in flood-affected areas as water levels gradually receded.
