Flood fears have intensified in Punjab after a sharp rise in the Sutlej River's water levels. Authorities have already evacuated around 150,000 people from high-risk areas. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) alerted Punjab's Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) after detecting flood threats. As a result, evacuation operations began near the river. People from low-lying regions are being shifted to safer locations as a precaution.
