Voronezh, June 23 -- At least five people were killed and dozens injured in a Ukrainian missile strike on the Russian city of Voronezh, according to regional authorities, as attacks between the two countries continue to intensify.

Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev said the missile attack caused significant damage to residential and industrial areas. Several apartment buildings suffered shattered windows and damaged facades, while multiple vehicles were also affected by the blast.

In a statement shared on Telegram, Gusev expressed condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He added that the missile threat alert issued for the region had later been lifted.
