Pakistan, July 1 -- Lahore police have registered a criminal case against four people after a roof collapse at a tuition centre killed 14 children and injured eight others. The FIR alleges negligence during repair work caused the deadly incident. The case marks the beginning of a criminal investigation into one of the city's worst recent building tragedies.
According to the First Information Report filed at Kahna Police Station, the complaint was lodged by Kashif Aslam, Enforcement Inspector of Lahore Metropolitan Corporation's Nishtar Zone. The case includes Sections 322 and 337-H of the Pakistan Penal Code, covering causing death by negligence and causing hurt through a rash or negligent act.
