Pakistan, June 17 -- Authorities have registered a case against two former officials of the Karachi Yellow Line BRT project over alleged financial irregularities. The Karachi Yellow Line BRT corruption case involves accusations of misuse of public funds amounting to billions of rupees, raising serious concerns about transparency in the major transport project.
According to reports, a case has been filed against former Project Director Zamir Abbasi and Director Procurement Jhaman Das. The two officials are accused of approving advance payments worth approximately Rs8.5 billion to contractors, allegedly causing significant losses to the national exchequer.
