Pakistan, July 3 -- The Government of Pakistan has announced that Saturday, July 5, and Sunday, July 6, 2025, will be public holidays nationwide in observance of Ashura, marking the 9th and 10th of Muharram, 1447 A.H.
The official notification, issued in continuation of the Cabinet Division's earlier circular No.10-01/2024-Min-11 dated December 23, 2024, states that the Prime Minister has approved the holidays for both five-day and six-day working week offices, ensuring uniform observance across all federal departments and institutions.
