Pakistan, June 5 -- The federal government has proposed allocating funds in the upcoming budget for several ongoing and new development projects in Karachi, focusing on transport, infrastructure, healthcare and education initiatives.

According to budget documents, a proposed allocation of Rs1.98 billion has been earmarked for the city's Green Line Bus Rapid Transit project. Additional funding has also been recommended for road construction, street rehabilitation, water supply and drainage schemes across various districts of the metropolitan city.
