Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- The Federal Board of Revenue collected Rs44 billion in income tax from salaried individuals during July 2026, marking a Rs2 billion increase compared with the same month last year.

Tax collection from salaried taxpayers stood at Rs42 billion in July 2025, while the figure reached around Rs30 billion in July 2024. The data shows continued growth in revenue from salaried individuals over two years.

Meanwhile, property transactions generated Rs15.5 billion in advance income tax during July 2026. Officials linked the collection to a sharp increase in property buying and selling activity across the country during the month.
