Pakistan, Aug. 31 -- Pakistan Customs has taken enforcement measures against the misuse of exemptions under the Export Facilitation Scheme (EFS) through alleged misdeclaration of imported fabric, an initiative that has been formally appreciated by the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA).

In a press release issued, APTMA acknowledged the action taken by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Pakistan Customs to address concerns relating to the import of greige fabric under the EFS. APTMA stated that greige fabric had been excluded from the scheme under SRO 1435(I)/2025 and raised concerns that certain consignments were allegedly being imported under incorrect descriptions to avail exemptions from customs duty and sales tax.
