LAHORE, Aug. 31 -- JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has opposed dividing provinces without proper preparation. He said Pakistan currently lacks both the environment and planning for creating new provinces. He warned that unplanned provincial divisions could cause serious problems and instability. He made these remarks while speaking to journalists in Larkana.

Fazlur Rehman said discussions about creating new provinces had emerged several times in the past. However, he argued that the country needs proper preparation before making such major changes.
