Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Fazlur Rehman has announced plans to form a united opposition after meeting Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai at Parliament House. The JUI-F chief said opposition leaders in the Senate and National Assembly had already held consultations. He added that the parties had reached a principled understanding to work together.

Fazlur Rehman met Achakzai in his chamber, accompanied by Kamran Murtaza and Maulana Wasey. Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai and Asad Qaiser also attended the meeting alongside Achakzai. Before the meeting, Fazlur Rehman told reporters that he would have ensured Imran Khan received medical treatment by now if the decision were in his hands.
