Pakistan, July 16 -- A major recruitment scandal has surfaced in Sindh Police, involving appointments made on fake or out-of-province domiciles. The revelation came during a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting chaired by Nisar Khuhro, where a police investigation report was presented highlighting irregularities.

DIG Finance Tanveer Odho informed the committee that 19 police personnel were recruited using either fake domiciles or domiciles from other provinces like KP, Punjab, and former FATA. The appointments reportedly occurred between 1979 and 2015. Out of 196 reviewed recruitments, four used domiciles from other provinces, while 15 were based on forged documents.
