Pakistan, Oct. 4 -- Exports from the country increased by 10.84 percent during the first quarter of the current fiscal year as compared to the corresponding period of last year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported. According to PBS data, the exports during July-September (2026-27) were recorded at $8.423 billion as compared to exports of $7.599 billion in July-September (2025-26). Likewise, imports into the country also increased by 13.21 percent, from last year's $16.973 billion to $19.215 billion during the year under review. Based on the figures, the trade deficit increased by 15.13 percent to $10.792 billion this year form last year's $9.374 billion, according to the data.
