Pakistan, July 19 -- The European Union's statistics office, Eurostat, announced that annual inflation in the euro area fell to 2.8% in June 2026, down from 3.2% in May, confirming its earlier preliminary estimate.
In data released today, Eurostat said energy prices recorded the highest annual increase among the main inflation components in the euro area, rising 8.7% in June. Services followed with a 3.2% increase, while food, alcohol, and tobacco prices rose 1.6%, and non-energy industrial goods increased 0.9%. The also said annual inflation across the European Union as a whole declined to 2.9% in June, compared with 3.3% in May.
