Pakistan, Sept. 3 -- Estonia Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur has resigned following a controversial military procurement deal. The deal involved €70 million for artillery shells intended for Ukraine. Media reports said the ammunition later failed quality inspections. Estonia made the payment through an EU military fund in August 2024. The government planned to deliver the ammunition to Ukraine by November that year.
