Pakistan, June 3 -- Eight Muslim-majority countries, including Pakistan, have strongly condemned recent incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli settlers, describing the actions as a violation of international law and the longstanding status quo governing the holy site.

The joint statement was issued by the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Turkiye, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The ministers denounced what they called repeated and provocative entries into Al-Aqsa Mosque, also known as Al-Haram Al-Sharif, under the protection of Israeli security forces.
