Pakistan, Aug. 11 -- The Election Commission of Pakistan has called an important meeting to discuss the polling date for Punjab's local government elections.

The commission has invited the Punjab government to participate in consultations over setting the polling date. The meeting will take place at the ECP office in Islamabad.

According to the commission's letter, the Punjab government must immediately form a provincial cabinet committee. The committee will represent the provincial government during the consultations.
