Pakistan, May 25 -- World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Monday that suspected deaths in the current Ebola outbreak have reached 220. He warned that delayed detection allowed the epidemic to spread rapidly beyond health responders' control. The outbreak has raised urgent concerns across central Africa, particularly in neighbouring countries bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Tedros said more than 900 suspected Ebola cases have now been identified, including 101 confirmed infections.
