Pakistan, Aug. 13 -- July 2026 tied with 2024 as the second-warmest globally (behind 2023), with average temperatures 1.47degC above pre-industrial levels and the highest ocean surface temperatures ever recorded for the month, according to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), a Geneva-based UN . The heat is still on in August.
