Pakistan, Feb. 7 -- A drone attack by Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces killed at least 24 people, including eight children, on Saturday. The attack hit a vehicle carrying displaced families in North Kordofan province. Doctors and aid groups warned it worsens the country's growing humanitarian crisis.

The attack occurred near Rahad city, said the Sudan Doctors Network, which monitors conflict-related casualties. Families were fleeing fighting in the Dubeiker area. Among the dead children were two infants. The paramilitary strike highlights the ongoing toll of Sudan's war, which erupted in April 2023 between the RSF and the Sudanese army.
