Pakistan, July 4 -- Cybercriminals are increasingly using artificial intelligence (AI) deepfake technology to impersonate Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, popularly known as Fazza, in sophisticated online romance scams that have cost victims thousands of dollars.

One victim, identified only as Maria, believed she was in a genuine relationship with the prince after meeting someone claiming to be him on a dating platform. Their conversations later moved to a messaging app, where the scammer regularly sent romantic messages and participated in realistic video calls created using AI deepfake technology.
