Pakistan, Aug. 30 -- Tom Cruise is returning to the racetrack for a sequel to Days of Thunder, with Anne Hathaway joining the upcoming film. Paramount Pictures and the two actors announced the project on August 29. Cruise will reprise his role as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle, more than three decades after the original movie.

Hathaway will play a team owner and engineer, marking the first time she and Cruise will appear together on screen. The sequel is scheduled to reach cinemas on June 2, 2028. Moreover, the film will be produced for IMAX and other premium large-format screens.
