Pakistan, July 28 -- Pakistan Customs has recovered a large amount of undeclared foreign currency from six members of the same family travelling from Karachi to Dubai during a routine inspection at the airport.

According to customs officials, authorities seized $55,000 in US currency and Rs950,000 in Pakistani currency from the passengers after discovering that the funds had not been declared in accordance with applicable regulations.
Officials said the recovered foreign currency exceeded the limit prescribed by the State Bank of Pakistan, prompting legal action under the Customs Act, 1969.
