Pakistan, May 11 -- The Culture Department, Government of Sindh, pays tribute to legendary Sindhi folk artist and singer Mai Bhagi in a special commemorative ceremony celebrating her remarkable contribution to Sindhi music and culture.

The event will be held on Thursday, 14 May 2026, at 7:00 PM at Mumtaz Mirza Auditorium, Sindh Museum, Hyderabad, hosted by Director of Culture Sindh, Muhammad Saleem Solangi. Mai Bhagi was a Sindhi folk singer and musician. Born Bhag Bhari meaning 'a female of good fortune') in Mithi in Thar, Sindh in 1920,[1] Mai Bhagi grew up in a village in the Thar Desert.
