KARACHI, Jan. 27 -- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday inaugurated the Rs6.1 billion Korangi causeway bridge, a major infrastructure project aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity between key industrial and residential areas of the city.

The 1.4-kilometre-long bridge has been constructed over the Malir River and links the Korangi and Landhi industrial areas with Karachi's East and South districts. Featuring six lanes - three on each side - the bridge is expected to serve nearly five million commuters daily, significantly reducing travel time and improving access to commercial and social facilities.
