Pakistan, July 30 -- Climate change has emerged as one of the defining challenges of the twenty-first century. Unlike traditional security threats, climate change transcends political boundaries, affecting countries regardless of their economic strength or military capability. Rising temperatures, water scarcity, and environmental degradation are increasingly shaping national security, economic development, and human well-being. Regional organisations, therefore, have a critical responsibility to promote collective responses to shared environmental challenges. For the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), advancing green transition and ecological conservation is surely an opportunity to deepen regional cooperation.
